Jeannette Babineau passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 100. She was the last of seven siblings born in Fairhaven, MA to Antoine and Elmire Arsenault.

She worked at the Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis, was homemaker who found enjoyment in her crafts of sewing, knitting and gardening. She was a member of the Dennis Fire Flies an organization of the Dennis Fire Association for many years as well as being on local bowling teams. In her later years she enjoyed making several 1000-piece puzzles.

She found much enjoyment in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Leo of 68 years and her son Paul. She leaves behind 3 children, Patricia Mendes of Marstons Mills, Theresa Babineau of Mashpee and Donald Babineau and wife Trudy of South Dennis. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Todd Mendes (wife Amanda), Greg Mendes (wife Kristin), Casey Bonney (husband Evan) and Daniel Babineau (fiancé Alyssa) of Sandwich as well as 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

We wish to thank the staff of Cape Cod Hospital, Mugar 6th Floor and the staff of McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich.

Visiting hours are from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, November 9 at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth, MA 02664. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Pius Tenth Church, Barbara St, So. Yarmouth at 11:00am, Monday November 10. Burial to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
