Daniel M. Creedon, Jr.
Dec 4th, 2025
Dan Creedon, beloved husband of Elizabeth Michael, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the Cape Cod Hospital after suffering a coronary attack. To everyone who knew him, he will be remembered for his love of sports, engaging personality, and his ability to talk with anyone on any topic. He was 84 years old.
Dan grew up in Brockton, son of Daniel and Rose (Sullivan) Creedon. He graduated from Brockton High with the Class of 1959 and then went on to become a proud graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Class of 1963, with a degree in accounting. For the next 60 years he worked as a CPA, side by side for most of those years with his dear Betty. They recently retired and have been enjoying life on Cape Cod and in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Dan was a very interesting person and an avid reader who had a vast knowledge of so many topics. He could talk about history, politics, fishing, current events, the stock market and any type of sports. He was known as a “Super Fan” because when he wasn’t watching a game on TV, he could be found in the bleachers at local sporting events cheering on his favorite teams. He always had boats and enjoyed his time on the ocean fishing. His biggest thrill lately was when their “Strike II” would hook up and haul in a giant bluefin tuna.
Dan is survived by and will be greatly missed by his children; Maureen Creedon, Daniel Creedon III, Sean Creedon, and Becky Dixon, his sister, Catherine (Creedon) McCarthy, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and an extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter, Michele (Creedon) Reagan, and his granddaughter, Casey.
Dan lived his life to the fullest and rarely missed a chance to spend time with his family and friends. He will be remembered by many as “the smartest person in the room” who was always willing to share stories and words of wisdom with all who would lend an ear.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the Spring. Details will be forthcoming.
