Michael E. Davis
Jan 11th, 2026
Michael E. Davis passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2026, after a brief illness, which he handled with dignity and grace. He is predeceased by his father Lewis J. “Big Lou” Davis, Jr., his mother Elizabeth (Bushey) Davis and brother Christopher J. Davis. He is survived by his brother Steven Davis and wife Vickie of Brownfield, ME, his adoring and devoted life partner Sheryl McMahon and his children Michael P. Davis of South Dennis, Thomas C. Davis of Marstons Mills, Charles S. Davis and his wife Siobhan of Harwich and Katherine P. Davis of Yarmouth Port. He is also survived by his beloved granddaughter Maryn M. Davis, his “pumpkin”.
Mike had a vitality that was incomparable. Born in Nashua, NH, he thrived on his quick wit and humor. As a young man, his first job was washing vehicles. This lead to a love for all things cars and a lifelong career in the automotive industry.
He valued his privacy and adored bird watching, though he may never have fully admitted his enthusiasm. He also enjoyed spending his down time watching football, going for leisurely drives around town and stopping by to visit his “pumpkin”.
His stories were captivating, compelling and indicative of the adventurous life he led in the 60’s and 70’s. When he had something to say, Mike easily commanded the room’s attention. He had that special “something” about him. His love for the Moody Blues, Buffalo Springfield and other artists of that era, inspired his children’s passion for music. He was so very proud of all their accomplishments, both personal and professional. Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Interment will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
