September 11, 1940 – January 20, 2026
James D. Webb Sr. 85, of Yarmouth, battling heart disease for the last few years, died at his home on January 20th, 2026.  Born in Boston MA, Jim was the son of the late Earl and Yvonne Webb.  He is survived by his older brother William Webb of Stoneham MA.

Married to wife Maureen (Burke) for 45 years.  Jim is survived by his children James Jr. & Kimberly of Newmarket NH, Robert (Deceased) & Kathy of Mashpee MA, Jean Marie of Milford MA, Jonathan & Dianne of Uxbridge MA, Danny & Jessica of Bridgton ME, and Dana & Shelby of Honolulu HI.  Jim was Grandfather to Melanie & Jimmy Webb, Dalton & Jessie Webb, Brandi Webb, and Penny Rose Webb, and became Great Grandfather to Penelope M. Webb.

Prior to moving to Cape Cod in retirement Jim and Maureen were long time residents of Natick, MA – both working for the Town, Jim in the Maintenance Dept, and Maureen an Elementary School Teacher.  Jim was a youth baseball coach (White Sox, and Babe Ruth Astro’s) but his passion was the Natick Youth Football Program.  He initially coached back in 1977 in the Central Mass League with the likes of Joe Crane, Dick Flutie, and Larry Harding.  Then teaming up with the Pop Warner organization he became the President of the Natick Jr, Redmen through the late 1990’s, working with greats such as Bill Myrick, and Dave Lamont.  Many members of the Class of 1980 and 1981 coached under Jim Webb, and still have fond memories of the Jr. Redmen through this day.  Jim finished up his career in youth sports by creating and running the Natick Indoor Flag Football League.  Jim also enjoyed following Natick Soccer and Wrestling matches for his boys and their friends.

Jim thoroughly enjoyed being retired and loved to relax at the Bass River Beach surrounded by his retiree buddies.  Jim also was an avid Cape Cod Baseball League enthusiast taking in many of the YD Red Sox games.

The family will be planning a “Celebration of Life” gathering, in the summer of 2026 on The Cape.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism (https://flutiefoundation.org/) 42 Felton Street 3R, Waltham, MA 02453.
