Brian Rixham

Brian Rixham, age 91, died peacefully on the 15th of February, 2026. He is survived by Elizabeth, his loving wife of 60 years, three sons, David, Stephen, and Andrew, their wives and four grandchildren. Brian and Elizabeth met in 1963 on their way to church in Paris. Brian, a mechanical engineer was representing his English company on a joint steel mill project with a French company. Elizabeth was an au pair with an American family.
They were married in Sheffield in 1965. Brian was an avid tennis player and played in several tournaments throughout England. In 1973, they and their three sons emigrated to the U S. Brian joined Morgan Construction, a Company in Worcester, MA and retired as VP Proposal Sales in 1997. Brian was also a Member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He traveled the world extensively on business.
He was very active in the ministries of The Church of The Nativity in Northborough, MA and St. David’s Episcopal Church in South Yarmouth. After retiring, he volunteered for many years at The NOAH Shelter in Hyannis. He worked with the Housing Specialist to help residents fill in housing applications.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 4:00 pm at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 205 Old Main St., South Yarmouth.
