Marylou Howard Fair passed away after a brief illness at Cape Cod Hospital on April 26, 2026 at the early age of 64.

Marylou grew up in Harwich, MA, where she graduated from Harwich High School. From there she attended Burdett College of Business and Shorthand in Boston. Marylou was a cracker jack at shorthand and still used it profusely.

She was the loving and devoted Mother (mommy) to her daughter Ashley Fair Atwood and her son in law Jonathan Atwood. “Meme” adored and cherished her grandchildren: Dakota, Mackenzie, Riley and Phoebe.

Marylou was predeceased by her husband Clarence “Skip” Fair and her parents Arthur and Agnes Howard. Also left to miss her are her sisters and brothers. Theresa (Roger) McNamara, Ellen (Wayne) Eldredge, Diane (Michael) McNamara, Thomas Howard and Steven Howard. Plus many nieces and nephews.

Marylou worked for the town of Barnstable for the last 15 years. She was a fabulous co-worker and friend to many people.
