Karen A. (Guillette) Correia, 83, most recently a resident at Newfield House in Plymouth, MA died peacefully on July 2nd after a brief illness.  Born in Boston in 1943, Karen was the youngest child of Edward and Mary Guillette of Mansfield.  Karen was the wife of the late John D. Correia.  She was the sister of the late Edward and Kenneth Guillette. She was the mother of  David Correia and his wife Midge of Sandwich, MA, Kevin Correia of Greenbush, ME and Erin Rosecrans and her husband, Hal of Harwich, MA and grandmother of Kyle Correia and his wife Becky of Medway, Joshua Correia of Holliston, Meredith Correia of Boston, and Ethan Rosecrans and Julia Rosecrans of Harwich and great grandmother of Riley, Wyatt and Asher Correia. 
 
Karen was a 1961 graduate of Mansfield High School.  After graduation she began a long career in various administrative positions.  She worked for Fernandes, The Foxboro Company, Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School and Chamberlain Realty.  She married John in 1963 in Mansfield and they began having a family. After years of renting summer houses on Cape Cod during the early to mid-1970’s, John and Karen moved the family from Mansfield to Yarmouth in 1978 to be close to their biggest passion, life on Cape Cod. 
 
Karen enjoyed gardening and being with her dogs and cats.  Her biggest passion was cooking and was always making some of the family favorites that included stuffed quahogs, chowder and various desserts. After retiring Karen and John moved south to Athens and Savannah, GA for almost four years. They returned to Yarmouth due to the draw of their family on Cape Cod.
Karen’s service will be private and will return Karen to her eternal resting place beside John at Woodside Cemetery in Yarmouth.
