Robert "Bob" Ekholm passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born on December 14, 1936, in Walnut Creek, California, Bob grew up in Seattle, Washington, and attended the University of Washington, where he studied business and met his beloved wife of 68 years, Peg Stackpole.

Bob spent his career in data processing and IT, beginning at Boeing during the early days of mainframe computing. A career opportunity brought him and his family to New Hampshire and eventually to Massachusetts, where he lived for more than 60 years.

An avid sailor in Marblehead, Bob's love of the sea remained a lifelong passion. In retirement, he and Peg settled in Yarmouth Port near Gray's Beach, where he enjoyed golfing, grilling, cooking, and spending time with family.

Bob is survived by his wife, Peg; daughter, Kara; sons-in-law, Bill and Heath; grandchildren, Matt, Caitlin, Ryan, Logann, and Kendall; granddaughters-in-law, Karen and Marissa; and great-grandchildren, Emma, James, Felix, Olivia, and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie.

Bob will be remembered for his love of family, caring nature, and unwavering loyalty to those around him. He will be deeply missed.
