Stephen J. Tymon
Aug 12th, 2026
Stephen Tymon, 71, passed on August 12, 2026, a bright sunny summer day.
Raised in the greater Worcester area of Massachusetts, Stephen made homes with his family in Tyngsboro and Dennis, MA. Stephen built his career as an entrepreneur running his own company and later as an equipment engineer; however, he would say his greatest accomplishment was retiring early, afforded to him by savvy investments in the stock market. This allowed Stephen to fully immerse himself into many hobbies. Through his 30+ years of scuba diving, aiding in winter turtle rescues, and road trips up and down the coast he was able to get an appreciation of Cape Cod life very few people experience. His other hobbies included organic gardening, fishing, beach walking for treasure, joy rides on the boat with his family, following the political climate, and traveling with his bride to Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, and the Caribbean to escape the cold New England winters. Those who knew Stephen will best remember him for being a devoted husband, father, grampie, brother, uncle, and friend.
Stephen is survived by his *bride*, Sue; children, Lauren Fennelly and her husband Kevin Fennelly of Woburn, Daniel of Richmond Hill, GA, Marielle and fiancé Erin Ciejka of Hudson MA, and Roxanne of Waltham; grandchildren, Maxwell, Desmond, Boden, and Eleanor Pearl; siblings Jane Domings and her husband Bill, Paul Tymon and his wife Anna, Susan O’Neill and her husband Dennis, and Lisa Casarotto; sisters in law, Sharon Lussier and her husband Robert, Debbi Strauss and her life partner Bruce; and Kathy Tymon, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends; and trusted companion Scargo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Francis Tymon; in laws Robert and Pearl Styman, and siblings, Michael Tymon, Karen Zona and her husband Jack.
Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave, Yarmouth, MA. A celebration of life will follow at 10:00am at Hallett Funeral Home. Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Dennis will follow.
