Cari Alissa (Giard) Mach
April 28, 1980- August 31,2026
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Cari. She had a smile that lit up a room, and was the most comforting, calming presence — a bright joy to everyone around her.
She leaves behind her loving sons, Tony Mach and Bryce Mach, as well as Keegan Robbins-Baird, of West Yarmouth. She also leaves behind her beloved stepchildren, Alexis (Mach) Ripley of Bourne and Donny Mach of Quincy.
Her love and partner Neil Tuepker of Cotuit, with whom she resided. He is a Fire Captain/ Paramedic with the Barnstable Fire Department.
Cari was the daughter of Pamela (Ayers) Giard of West Yarmouth and the late Gregory Giard, who predeceased her the year of her birth. She is also survived by her brother, Jeremy Giard, and his companion, Robyn McFetters, of Barrington, RI, and her sister, Brooke (Giard) Leidner, and her husband, Gabe Leidner, of Dennis. She was the granddaughter of the late Adeline “Abby” Ayers and the late John Ayers of Agawam, and of Claire Giard of Barre and the late Robert “Joe” Giard. Cari is also survived by her many beloved nephews: Taylor Leidner and his wife, Alexis Leidner, of East Boston; Braedy Leidner of Quincy and his companion, Gill Horan; Stephen “Michael” Giard and his wife, Fran, of Southport, CT; and Jackson Giard and his wife, Faith, of Beaufort, SC. She also leaves behind four great-nieces — EllaGrace, Hazelee, AdelineMae, and DenverLou Giard — and one great-nephew, Johnathan Giard. She will be sadly missed by her best friends, Heather, Kim, and Janelle, as well as her many, many other friends. Cari was surrounded and loved by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and leaves behind her godparents, Darby French of Maryville, TN, and Philip Daignault of Ware, MA.
Cari was proud to be part of her “second family” — her close-knit coworkers at Bass River Pediatrics, where she worked as Insurance Referral Coordinator and Medical Assistant.
Her name truly suited her — she was an unbelievably “Cari-ng” person to all who knew her.❤️
A celebration of Cari’s life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Hallett Funeral Home 273 Station Ave, South Yarmouth, MA 02660.
