Gail Hutchinson Jamison, 92, passed away on October 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her husband, John Clark Jamison, as well as her parents. 
 
Gail was born to Isabel D. and William R.C. Hutchinson in Attleboro, MA. She graduated from Attleboro High School and Bridgewater State Teachers College where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. 
 
She married Clark and moved to Vernon, CT where they lived for nearly thirty years while raising their family. Over those years she built a life centered on hard work, a deep love for her family, and being a good friend to others. She was active in their church and garden club. She taught at Center Road School.
 
Gail and Clark moved to Cape Cod in 1993 to assist Gail’s parents, and settled in their retirement home on the beach. Again, Gail was active in church and garden club. As a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, she shared in a tradition of friendship, philanthropy, and support for women’s education.
Gail found joy in her family and friends, dinner parties, and the Cape dunes. Those who knew her will remember that she always had a way of making you feel welcome as well as a way of making you laugh.  She was known for her humor, generosity, and steady presence. Her smile was the first thing you saw when she entered a room.
 
A legacy of kindness, humor, and devotion will continue through all who loved her.
Gail leaves behind her sister, Priscilla Hutchinson; her three children, Marshall Jamison and his partner, Donna Dojan, Lisa Jamison, and Kimberly Dalton and her husband, Michael; and her two grandsons, Benjamin and John Clark Dalton.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on November 14, 2026 at Dennis Union Church, 713 Main St, Dennis, MA 02638.
