I wanted to share a few words about the kind of person marky was. Marky was a good natured none violent sole. He loved the great outdoors, he loved spending time by the water fishing with his cousins and friends.he loved nature and animals.he really respected the great outdoors.he loved working hard, swinging a hammer and landscaping, with his fellow workers.most of all he was a peaples person,he loved being around people, socializing, laughing, jokeing and sharing his big smile and bubbly personality with all of us.his mother said it best,he was a big lovey tubby. We all love you marky,God bless, rip

I am so sorry! I can’t even imagine the pain you are going through right now. I met Emilia when she was pregnant with Markie. I remember Markie and his cute little impish face as a kid. You were the best mother and loved your kids like crazy

We grew up together, jumping in playgrounds, learning in classrooms, running around baseball fields, swimming in oceans, and warming up on sandy beaches. We soon grew up apart, different schools, different choices, and different lives. We were travelling parallel to each other through the different avenues growing up on Cape Cod can take you. Some of these paths can lead to a world of fear, agony, and destruction. Some can lead to health, love, and joy. Our paralleled lives would soon cross as my path became intertwined with yours one night. It was going to be a party, one that I assumed would be like any other. But when you saw me there, you were relentless in your aim to get me out of that house. Not only did you yell at me, but you screamed at those who brought me. You made sure I had a ride home and you sent me on my way. I thought I had done something wrong. I thought you had hated me. Or, in the rambling thoughts young women have in times like these: I wasn't cool enough, I wasn't pretty enough, or I wasn't someone you wanted to be around. But your perceived anger and determination were not to harm me but to shield me. I did not know for a long time that you were trying to protect me Mark. I had no idea what was really going on. I was oblivious and naive. There were three catalysts that led to me leaving Cape Cod and going to college. This night was one of them. Mark, you helped me more than you could ever know in that one moment. You said that I did not belong there and that I had to go. If you let me stay, my self-destructive ways in that time could have changed my future drastically. I regret that I can not thank you, I can't tell you how grateful I am for your actions no matter how small it might have been to you, it's impact was monumental to me. There is not much written about you here in your obituary. I hope that this story can show a piece of who you were. How you, in your own way, protected me from a world that you could not escape. I thank you Mark, my mom thanks you, my friends thank you, and my children thank you. My deepest condolences to all of Marks family, my mother Elizabeth Maschi (Barron) sends her condolences as well. -Kimberly
